结构健康监测(SHM)

SHM methods focus on measuring the current damage state of the structural system. It is defined as the process of identifying the presence and quantifying the extent of damage based on information obtained from the system . It is regarded as an integral component of DP that can predict the remaining useful life of structural systems based on the operating history, current health status, future loading and environment conditions. Implementation of DP requires expertise in multiple disciplines including sensors, materials, electronics, and prediction methodologies and algorithms.
While many SHM methods and tools derive from the NDE techniques, SHM differs from traditional-sense NDE in that it involves the integration of electronics and sensors into structural components, which allows for continuous on-demand monitoring of the structures as well as providing sufficient damage details for issuing maintenance warnings and predicting remaining useful life. A damage detection system considered as a SHM system should be able to convey damage existence, location, type, and severity.
